How to use Argan Oil
How to Use Argan Oil?
Moroccan Argan Oil is popular for use as a natural organic Skin Care product and is gaining popularity for Hair treatment.
How to use Argan Oil for Skin
Argan Oil provides deep long lasting moisturising. One of the features of genuine pure Argan Oil is that it will be deeply absorbed into the skin with massage and should leave almost no oily shine to the skin. Use sparingly on the face and massage gently. If using Argan Oil on other parts of the body then more vigorous massage can be used to work the Argan Oil into the skin. Ideal for use after a bath or shower where skin is still damp. If you suffer from dry skin conditions, eczema, psoriasis then Argan Oil is often very useful when applied before or after showering. This can prevent drying of the skin and lock in moisture. This is may not be suitable where skin is very damaged or where the skin is broken due to a condition such as Eczema. In this case it may be preferable to wait until the skin has healed over.

About Argan Oil & Natural Oils for Skin & for Hair
The traditional use of natural oils in cosmetics in ancient societies
How to use Argan Oil with other natural oils for skin and for hair
Across the world every ancient society has discovered the benefits of using natural oils like Argan Oil Morocco, for for skin care and for hair.
Long before the chemical products we see advertised today took over our skin care organic natural oils, like Argan Oil, rich in nutrients and complexes that benefit and work with our skin were used. These product are still used today by many traditional peoples and it is only now that people in the “more advanced” regions are learning the benefits of using natural products.
In ancient tribes and civilisations children, used to look up to and respect their elders. In native American tribes, like , many others around the world, if ever there was a problem then they would turn to the wise person of the village. Because that person had learnt from their predecessors what to do based on proven results. And their word was respected because what they said was the truth.
Unfortunately in our “modern societies” the TV and advertising machine who try to put themselves up as our advisors tell us nothing but misleading or downright false information just to get us to give them our money.
But “you can not fool all of the people all of the time” and many are now realising that natural products have been used for centuries because, like the wise elders if the village, their effectiveness has been proved by the passing on of knowledge across centuries. As for the big cosmetics companies we only have their word backed up by a few highly paid celebrities that their products work. Collagen Boosting – the Benefits of Argan Oil and Topical Vitamin C
Boost and protect collagen with topical vitamin C and Argan Oil for firmer skin
The Benefits of Topical Vitamin C with Argan Oil for skin
How to use Topical Vitamin C and Argan Oil to boost and protect your collagen levels for firmer skin
Revitalize Ageing Skin with Topical Vitamin C and Argan Oil
Overexposure to sun accelerates skin ageing by degrading collagen and triggering oxidative stress in the skin.
Results from clinical trials show that when applied topically, vitamin C promotes collagen formation and challenges the effects of free radicals, helping maintain firm and youthful skin.
The benefits of applying topical vitmains C work in a similar way to the benefits of Argan Oil
These time-honored natural remedies were used by ancient civilizations to heal skin can help overcome these effects.
In Tibet women would rub sea buckthorn on their face and hands. Native Americans made a vitamin C-rich paste out of rose petals to moisten and heal their skin
Many common plants and herbs contain such as rose hips, sea buckthorn, and other fruits contain very high vitamin c levels that give them their potent skin-rejuvenating powers.
Overall, the amount of collagen in the skin tends to decline with age, an ongoing process that is accelerated by a number of factors like sunlight, smoking, free radicals, and inflammation. As the synthesis of new collagen slows down, topical vitamin C is one of the most effective ways to boost collagen synthesis and slow its degradation.
While oral supplementation with vitamin C is important for maintaining one’s overall health, it is not very effective at increasing skin concentrations of vitamin C because its absorption is limited by active transport mechanisms in the gut. The most effective method for replenishing vitamin C in the skin is therefore to go straight to the source, and apply it directly to the skin.
Collagen constitutes more than a third of all protein in the body and about 75% of the skin.12 From our bones and teeth to blood vessels and cartilage, collagen is the main connective tissue that holds us together.
What makes collagen a sort of supermolecule, however, is its three-dimensional triple helix architecture. No wonder the tensile strength of collagen is greater than steel wire of the same weight. Understandably, the making of such a complex structure as collagen can only be accomplished in several steps. And vitamin C is involved in every one of them.
clinical trials
Several clinical trials have discovered that topical vitamin C provides beneficial effects on aged and photodamaged skin. A placebo-controlled study performed in 25 volunteers showed that those who topically applied a topical formulation of ascorbic acid (vitamin C) experienced a reduction in fine lines and wrinkles in aged skin after a relatively short time period of 12 weeks.
Other studies have substantiated these benefits and over a three-month double-blind study in 19 patients with moderately photodamaged facial skin patients discovered a significant improvement in fine wrinkling, roughness, skin tone, and sallowness on the side treated with ascorbic acid compared with the control side. Photo assessment uncovered a 57.9% improvement in vitamin C-treated patients compared with the control group.
Besides its uses in photorejuvenation, vitamin C has also been shown to be of benefit in patients with acne, both helping to prevent and diminish acne lesions.
In addition to all this, topical vitamin C can reverse yet another aspect of skin aging: age spots (or lenti-gines).These dark areas are where UV-induced oxidation causes melanin to pool in the upper layers of the skin.
How to use Argan Oil and topical Vitamin C to protect your skin
Vitamin C is not only necessary for collagen production and maintenance, but it is also a potent antioxidant that can neutralize free radicals in the skin. So, topical vitamin C works to boost the anti oxidant effect of the ultra high Vitamin-E levels in Argan Oil. But why is protection against free radical damages and why are anti oxidants in Vitamins and Argan oil so important?
Free radicals are atoms or molecules that are very chemically reactive due to missing an electron – a negatively charges particle in the nucleus of an atom. Because of this, their destructive power is concentrated in the place where they are created, which is mostly in the cells’ mitochondria – within cells in your body or on the surface of the skin.
Free radicals seek opportunities to complete their odd electron. So, they will attack any nearby chemical compounds including chemical compounds that are involved in important reactions in your body, or even a part of a DNA molecule. As a result, the damage left behind can leave damaged cells throughout the body, such as in heart muscle cells, nerve cells, and the skin.
The anti oxidant, free radical dmagaes the collagen by stealing an electron from one of the proteins in a strand of collagen. This causes a change in the chemical structure of the collagen at that point, creating a tiny break in the strand. Once a bundle of collagen has multiple points of damage that occur over the years, it becomes damaged and disorganized. As a result, our skin begins to get that familar sag and wrinkled effect.
Although our skin naturally has cellular enzymes and other metabolic processes to deal with this oxidative damage, ageing and environmental stresses like sunlight, smoking, and pollution, can eventually overpower these protective controls. One of our Argan Oil based products, Sahara Gold, was formulated with a natural skin repairing oil which combats UV sun damage as it occurs.
Applying a antioxidant like vitamin C in combination with Argan Oil which is also rich in anti oxidants, Vitamin and Linoleic Fatty Acid ( G.L.A.), is a very effective way to boost the skin’s natural protection against age-causing free radicals over the long term.
How to Use Argan Oil
Argan Oil for Health and Beauty
How to Use Argan Oil
Argan Oil has been used in Morocco over the centuries for cooking and for its medicinal properties. The range of conditions for which Argan is claimed to have a beneficial effect are so astounding the it is hard not to be sceptical. However, like many 'natural' remedies it is only now that science is beginning to understand the complex path by which such substances work.
The Applications & Uses of Argan Oil
current areas of research and traditional applications for Moroccan Argan Oil:
i An Anti Ageing /beauty Treatment for skin and body ( traditional ) – cosmetic Moroccan Argan Oil external use
ii Difficult dry skin conditions such as eczema, burns and sun damage – cosmetic argan oil external use
iii Possess active Anti Cancer properties – internal use
iv Relieve Arthritic pain – Cosmetic Argan oil and Culinary Moroccan Argan Oil internal and external use
v Reduce Blood Cholesterol Culinary Moroccan Argan Oil internal use
Using Argan Oil
There are two forms of Argan Oil. One is for eating the other is a Cosmetic form used externally.
Using Cosmetic Argan Oil
Skin Moisturiser & Massage Oil
Argan may be used in its pure oil form or can be combined with a high quality base cream. In all cases the oil should be applied to clean skin. It can be used on the face or whole body. Apply sparingly and rub/massage the oil into the skin. The oil should quickly be absorbed and leave no oily residue.
Sun Bathing and Anti Ageing Tanning treatment
It has been found that Argan Oil can have an more rapid effect when used as a “base coat” when sunbathing. The Argan Oil can be applied to the skin, massaged in and then the Sun-Screen of your choice applied.
It appears that the warming and UV effects of the sub help the oil to penetrate and enhance its conditioning of the skin.
Eczema, Acne Psorisis and Dry Skin Conditions
Difficult skin conditions such as these often benefit from Argan Oil skin care. In such cases it may be beneficial to take the eating for of the oil in combination with the external use of the oil. Note that oils very often generate a “heat” like effect on the skin. Our feedback suggests that the oil is effective if used on an eczema condition when the skin is starting to heal and is unbroken. If the skin is cracked or red the external application of the oil may not prove helpful.
Culinary Argan Oil
Eating Argan oil is not used in place of Olive oil for high temperature cooking and frying but may be used for medium heat applications such as pan frying ingredients. In Morocco Argan Oil is used within cooking primarily for its roasted nutty flavour.
Argan is most commonly used in Morocco as a kind of butter. It is eaten by dipping bread into the oil and eating. This would be done with an Moroccan style of loaf which is a think domed bread.
